About I O Ranch Lamb
At I O Ranch Lamb, all of our lambs are raised right here on our family ranch in Lampasas County, Texas. All lambs are 100% grass fed and finished, and are raised naturally. The sheep graze freely on our fields and pastures on the I O Ranch, which sits along beautiful Heatley Branch and the Lampasas River.
The lambs are never given any growth hormones or antibiotics. Every step is taken to ensure that all of the animals are treated humanely, and are stress free. After all, a stress free animal will grow better, be healthier, taste better, and will be more tender. Because we sell you only lamb from our ranch, we know each animal's history. We personally guarantee the purity and quality of our lamb.
At the I O Ranch, we are fortunate to be in central Texas, where our climate allows us to have green grass and foliage year round. We plant our fields with winter oats in September, and the sheep graze the foliage of the plant all winter long. They will graze clover, tender succulent weeds, and forbs in the spring, and native and improved grasses in the summer. When you buy I O Ranch Lamb, you will not only get all of the health benefits of grass fed lamb, but you will also get the full benefits of GREEN grass fed lamb, at any time of year.
Our lambs are born year round. We are not confined to a “lambing season” once a year, so your lamb will always be fresh. We do the ranching, the selling, and the packing of the order. That is how we can ensure its quality and guarantee your satisfaction.
All I O Ranch Lamb is processed and butchered at the same small local custom meat processor that I have used for over thirty years to process the meat that I have grown for my own family. Just like us, they are a family owned and operated business, that not only takes pride in their product, but also the process. All I O Ranch Lamb is USDA inspected.
